AD 2015-2020: what can we achieve?

Providing a strategic vision of the industry.

With the general election taking place next year, our sixth ADBA National Conference will provide a strategic vision for the AD industry for 2015-2020. This year’s agenda will pay particular attention to potential changes in the political landscape and how these could affect your business. The AD industry is already making a significant contribution to food waste recycling, farming and the water sector. While industry growth continues to be encouraging, the new government needs to provide the right support to maintain momentum. Decisions on the Feed-in Tariff, Renewable Heat Incentive, Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation and food waste collections will have a critical impact on industry development. As the trade association for the industry, ADBA has designed this conference to prepare you for an important and potentially changeable few years and to ensure the AD industry is appropriately supported.

Whether you are an AD operator or an equipment provider this conference offers you the chance to learn, network and also make a direct contribution to shaping the AD industry. Your input in the debates will make a real difference and help shape the industry’s voice to government.

Key topics at the conference will include: the importance of on-farm AD to farmers and the UK, and the future of the Feed-in Tariff; how food waste policy will affect anaerobic digestion over the next 5 years; what the future of biomethane is and how this will be affected by the RHI budget for 2016-2020; how the digestate market will develop; is digestate a risk or a profit source; the importance of the whole AD industry operating at the highest possible level; the changing landscape of financing AD and whether there are now new opportunities in markets which used to be difficult to finance.
