Evidence requested on Ofgem time in processing FITs applications

At our recent members meeting, several members expressed concern about the length of time it is taking Ofgem to process applications to the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) scheme.

We would like to gather more information on the length of time taken and the number of plants that this is affecting. Several members have already been in contact, which is hugely helpful.

We have asked for a meeting with Ofgem, and will raise the results of this to Ofgem if it is clear that the length of time taken is unduly long.

Please note that it is important to understand that number of working days that an application has been with Ofgem for review. This is likely to be the key statistic that Ofgem are monitoring.

Could FITs applicants send the completed questionnaire to so that we can review these on behalf of members.

At the meeting, members were keen for the industry to work together on this, so we may share individual questionnaire responses with Ofgem and other parties.

Many thanks.
